Broward County Animal Care and Adoption welcomes and encourages donations to help support the important programs and services that provide care for cats and dogs in our community and fund education and outreach programs that promote responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter, vaccination and licensing. There are several ways to contribute.
Animal Care Trust Fund
The Animal Care Trust Fund is a special fund established in 1987 by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners to accept gifts, grants, and awards of money for the use and benefit of animals in Broward County. Thousands of dogs and cats are lost and surrendered each year and the cost to shelter and care for these animals while they wait to be adopted is a significant challenge.
You can help us take care of these animals, especially during these difficult economic times, by making a donation for general use at our shelter and animal adoption center. These general use donations will be used for food, treats, medicine, equipment and supplies to provide comfort for our furry friends. All donations are tax-deductible.
You can make a donation for general use, or designate a special purpose to purchase:
• medicine
• food
• animal equipment or supplies
• educational materials
