Hillsboro Inlet District Charter Amendment

This bill provides for a change in the quorum requirements for the Board of Commissioners and will provide that three members may conduct business.

This bill provides that the Town of Southwest Ranches will make two appointments to the Board and eliminates the appointments of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners due to changes in the area served by the Board.

Broward County Repeal of Obsolete Platting Special Acts

Broward County Repeal of Obsolete Tax Assessor Special Act

This bill repeals legislation that is currently set out in Chapter 177, F.S., and Broward County has since enacted a mandatory platting ordinance.

Broward County Repeal of Obsolete Municipal Annexation Special Act
HB 1069 by Representative Jack Seiler – SB 2980 by Senator Jeremy Ring

This bill repeals legislation that prohibits municipalities from annexing any property unless the municipality has first adopted a land use plan. The intend is now obsolete because all county and municipal governments are required by Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Development Regulation Act to have in place a comprehensive land use plan.
