Municipal Services Advisory Board
Broward County > Planning And Redevelopment > Neighborhoods > Municipal Services Advisory Board

houseThe Broward County Municipal Services Advisory Board (MSAB) was created in 1992 by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners (Board) to receive comments from residents about health, safety and welfare issues and to formulate ideas from the comments received. This 16-member MSAB (two members appointed by each County Commissioner whose district contains unincorporated properties) then prepares and submits recommendations for consideration to the Board regarding policies and programs for improving the quality of services to residents in the unincorporated area.

The Mission Statement of the MSAB is "To prepare and submit recommendations for consideration to the Board of County Commissioners regarding policies and programs for improving the quality of services to residents in the Unincorporated Area, and to aid in transitioning County government structure through annexation and into the 21st Century."

Municipal Services Advisory Board Goals include:

  • To continue to act as liaison between the Board of County Commissioners and the residents of Unincorporated Broward County (residents)
  • To regularly hold meetings to receive comments from Residents with regard to matters which affect the health, safety and welfare of the Residents, and to formulate ideas from the comments received
  • To continue to perform other related activities as may from time to time be requested by resolution of the Board of Broward County Commissioners
