Mission:

To develop policy and standards to provide administrative support, direction, and training to five divisions in order to sustain and enhance the quality of life in Broward County by promoting effective and efficient uses of urban and environmental resources through regional planning, management, and regulation.

The tasks of fiscal oversight and human resources are handled centrally through Administration's Fiscal & Human Resources Section (FHRS). The work responsibilities of the FHRS encompass a wide range of administrative activities including centralized budget, purchasing, payroll management, policy development, organizational analyses, operational performance evaluations and audits, property coordination, building & fleet management, and human resources.

Fiscal and Budgetary Management

Administration provides fiscal management of funds allocated to the department and its five divisions. This includes budget coordination and preparation for new fiscal years as well as management of expenditures in the current fiscal year. Financial audits are conducted annually to ensure funds are being utilized for maximum results, output, and effectiveness of our sponsored projects.

Human Resources

Administration's Human Resources Officer (HRO) coordinates and manages recruitments, reclassifications and labor relations activities. The HRO also supports managers by organizing trainings and through one-on-one interaction. Purchasing

Administration manages centralized procurement processes for the EPD department in coordination with division liaisons. Also, contracted purchasing is prepared for the agency with emphasis towards the support of smaller & minority businesses.
