Economic Data Resources
Broward County Planning Services Division(PSD) serves as the County's repository for the U.S. Bureau of the Census' data, and demographic and economic information from a host of other sources. PSD has prepared a number of documents that provide frequently requested information in friendly and usable formats.
Census data provides small area demographics and socio economic data to support business decision making and planning:
Population characteristics (age, race, sex, income, education, travel to work, etc.),
Household characteristics (family type, income, tenure etc.)
Housing (unit type, occupancy rates, seasonal units, value, amenities, etc)
Subcounty tabulations available thru Broward Facts for small areas
Countywide economic data (including comparison with other metropolitan areas):
Resident labor force (and unemployment claims)
